We had the honor of exhibiting new work at ICFF 2022 and reconnect with friends as well as make new ones. Feels amazing to be out in the world again.
ADJUNCT PROFESSOR
Kicked off 2022 teaching Theory of the Object (ACD552) MFA students at PNCA.
The course investigates how we come to comprehend objects and our relationships with the built-designed environment through a deliberate investigation of cultures, geo-political systems, anthropology, craft, design, art, archeology, architecture, literature and film.
Mentorship
We are excited to be extending our critical dialogue beyond the studio practice and joining the mentorship program at PNCA.
WORKSHOP CUBA
Under the guidance of conceptual artist Wilfredo Prieto and design organizers Raiko Valladares and Daniela Friedman, designers from U.S and Europe gathered in Havana to collaborate with Cuban designers and artists on a series of objects which reflect on a period in Cuba called “Special Period.” The “Special Period” is marked by the dissolution of the Soviet Union which created a socioeconomic collapse following extreme shortages of everyday goods and forcing Cubans into creative improvisations to the everyday.
